While Adam has a significant matrimonial, divorce, and family law practice, he has handled and litigated cases involving contracts, real property, will disputes, construction issues, insurance issues, and a variety of business torts.

Adam's skills have been recognized by his peers time after time. Adam has been featured in Business North Carolina's Legal Elite as well as North Carolina's Super Lawyers' Magazine. Adam has also been peer-rated as a "Distinguished" attorney through Martindale-Hubble. At the time of his selection, Adam was the first and only divorce lawyer and family law attorney in North Carolina to be selected into fellowship with the prestigious Litigation Counsel of America, an invitation only trial lawyer honorary society. Further, at the time of his selection, Adam was one of only nine divorce lawyers and family law attorneys in the entire country to be included in Litigation Counsel of America’s prestigious fellowship. Adam has also been recognized for his legal work by The National Trial Lawyer publication with inclusion on its 2014 list of Top 40 Under 40. Adam was also selected to NADC’s Nation’s Top One Percent in 2015. Adam was the first Greensboro Family Law Attorney to be given such honor. Adam has also been recognized as being in the 10 Best Attorneys in Western North Carolina by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
Adam has been active in both professional and community activities through the local and state bar associations and many non-profit organizations. Professionally, he has served many years on the Local Rules Committee of the Guilford County District Court and has served as the State Co-Chairman of the North Carolina Bar Foundation's 4All Statewide Phone-In Day of Service. He also served two terms as President of the Family Law Section of the Greensboro Bar Association after being elected to the position by his peers. In such role, Adam also served on the Greensboro Bar Association’s Board of Directors. Adam is actively involved in the United Methodist Church and serves on the non-profit Court Watch of North Carolina Board of Directors. Giving back to and trying to improve both the profession and the community has always been a priority in his life.
Adam enjoys his family, traveling, and cheering on his beloved Tar Heels. When not in the office or cheering on his Tar Heels, he often can be found helping others through this charitable work or enjoying time with his family in the North Carolina mountains.
